Tweedle
Common is a former rubbish tip which local people are working
to transform into a useful piece of community ground. They would
like to provide a safe green play space for their children,
with a relaxing wildflower meadow in the summer.
In September 2006 local residents groups applied for a CAS:H
grant to plant up an area of wildflower near the back of
Plant Hill School
Tree thinning was planned for the winter of 2006 to help
to reduce anti social behaviour problem at the Longton Road
