Location
and Access
The site is situated either side of Church Lane in Moston. It
extends out to Monsall Road, Ashley Lane and Rudd Street. There
are numerous access points all around the site. When development
is completed, many of these will be suitable for wheelchairs.
From Manchester City Centre buses 80 and 88 run to Lightbowne
Road, whilst 81 and 51 run to Church Lane. Both routes require
a short walk to the site.
Size

Recreation and Usage
The Vale is currently used for walking and dog walking. It
also experiences some anti-social behaviour and illegal riding
of quad and motorbikes. There is also one grass kickabout
pitch, currently flooded in winter. We hope to be installing
more sports facilities soon, as well as a network of lit footpaths.
Links
To the west of Moston Vale, cross onto Lightbowne Road and
go down Kenyon Lane to find Lightbowne Country Park.
