Location
and Access
Harpurhey Reservoirs are located to the north and south of
Harpurhey Road, and are bordered by Waterloo Street and Factory
Lane. The main access point is off Factory Lane, and is not
suitable for disabled access at present. Buses 123 and 64
can be taken to the Moston Lane/Factory Lane junction of Rochdale
Road, or number 56 can be taken to the junction of Hazlebottom
Road and Woodlands Road, from where a short walk takes one
to Waterloo Road.

Recreation and Usage
One of the ponds at Harpurhey Reservoirs has a dipping platform
for use by local schools.
The eastern section of the site on the corner of Waterloo
Road and Harpurhey Road is a more formal recreation ground
with a kickabout pitch.
Links
From Hendham Vale below Queens Park, walk along Waterloo Road,
and from there you can walk through to the riverside walk
by the Zeneca site in Blackley.
