Blackley Forest is situated between Blackley New Road, Middleton
Road. And Victoria Avenue.
Wheelchair access is excellent from Victoria Avenue. There is
a well established circular route leading along the riverside
within the Forest immediately to the left of the access ramp.
The Bowker Vale tram stop on the route to Bury is a five minute
walk from the site

The wood is ideal for walking and dog walking, her you will
find a peaceful haven away from the bustle of city life. Relax
and admire the view of the gently trickling River Irk and the
well-established woodland.
The Friends of Blackley Forest, together with Groundwork, BTCV
and Red Rose Forest, often hold outdoor events such as bulb
planting or bird box making here.
