Volunteers from the Booth centre in Manchester like a challenge. When the Irk Valley Project asked for their help in pulling together a pictorial record of the Valley, the good bad and the ugly, they jumped at the chance.

Starting in 2002, Booth Centre representatives have been out in all weathers taking pictures of just about everything, from just about everywhere. From Collyhurst to Blackley, from Harpurhey to Moston and Lightbowne, hundreds if not thousands of images have been recorded, celebrating the Irk Valley.

With a seasonal emphasis, some of the best pictures have been assembled to look at on the Booth Centres own Website
www.boothcentre.org.uk Follow the projects menu to explore the pictures through Autumn, Winter, Summer and Spring.

Although the project will never really end, some of the images will hopefully be made into postcards and a calendar for Christmas 2003. Many thanks to Amanda and Matt for helping make it happen, but especially to all the volunteers involved.
